Marching towards a fruitful and happy life

The 21st century is a fast-changing era. With the rapid development of information technology, the school’s mission is to train our next generation to adapt to the complex and ever-changing society. As our society and the world are under rapid economic, scientific and technological developments, the best way to teach children is to equip them with the capacity to learn effectively and offer them a strong foundation on which they can build a successful life.

Under mutual trust, the Centre for University & School Partnership (CUSP) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong has partnered with our school to develop our positive education programme in a multi-dimensional and an all-rounded way, to enhance well-being and happiness of our students and to nurture them to be tomorrow’s leaders.

The concept of positive education was originated from positive psychology proposed by an American psychologist, Dr. Martin Seligman, in 1998. It covered 6 types of virtues and 24 character strengths. Later, positive psychology theory was incorporated into classroom teaching and learning to advocate positive education. Positive education emphasizes the development of students' positive emotions, positive interpersonal relationships, healthy lifestyles, and good moral characters which are beneficial to students’ learning motivation, self-confidence, and creativity so that they can march towards a fruitful and happy life.
